L'intellivision è una stupenda console della Mattel datata 1979, nata per contrastare lo strapotere di atari con la versione 2600, ma con caratteristiche hardware e software assai superiori a quelle del rivale. Si puo' tranquillamente definire l'intellivision una delle macchine con il maggior gradimento del pubblico: si valuta ne siano state vendute circa 3 milioni e mezzo di pezzi...nulla a che vedere con gli oltre 10 mln di C= 64 ma cifre di assoluto rispetto.

Hardware: microprocessore General Instruments a 16 Bit CP1610 a 865 KHz (KHz non MHz...), 7K ROM e 64k RAM per i programmi, chip sonoro GI AY-3-8914, controller a disco a 12 direzioni.
